Tun Mahathir Mohamad in a recent speech stated that “exercising democratic rights could place society in a never-ending vicious cycle of instability and insecurity”. How can a democratically elected, democratic leader of a democratic country make such a statement? Can you believe that? This means in his inner heart he is not supporting or protecting the “Democratic Rights of the peoples”.
It is the very reason why he very subtly, cunningly and systematically robbed Malaysians of their democratic rights and slowly created the vicious cycle of corruption, cronyism, injustice and impunity for himself, his family, his partners and also made way for his successors who were vicious thieves to destroy democratic rights of the peoples and use their power for their personal gains.
In a way Mahathir is right. If he protects the “Democratic Rights of the Peoples” how can he steal and hide his wealth in 50 or so banks all over the world. How can Mahathir and Daim Zainuddin keep RM160 billion in those banks not just as deposits, but as equity which is now worth more than RM200 billion!!!
My dear friends do you want a leader who does not want to protect your democratic rights? Think seriously about that…Decision is yours…!
