Imagine the fate of Sabahans who supported the Pakatan Harapan (PH) to have the Malaysian Agreement (MA63) included in the Constitution so that the state can get back its rights as once promised. Is Warisan not neglect Sabahans’ fate by staying close to Tun Mahathir and not supporting PH?
As said by Tun Mahathir recently, he has now retired from politics after being given the mandate and trust of the people by stepping down as Prime Minister. Knowing that Tun’s intentions are clear and since he is no longer the leader of Pakatan Harapan, Warisan should cooperate with PH in both state and federal to strongly fight the treachery of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Azmin and UMNO. Warisan’s act of siiting on the fence at such crucial time is regrettable.
Knowing that Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal used to support the Federal PH government, what he really wished for was solely to secure his own interests. The issue is, in this challenging Covid-19 pandemic and the shocking and chaotic power shift, does Muhyiddin Yassin really have the time to entertain the MA63 agenda? Although none of Warisan’s MPs are in the cabinet the close-knit relationship between Shafie Apdal and Muhyiddin Yassin might pave the passage for Warisan MPs to get GLC positions in support of PN and UMNO. Let’s wait and see what is in for the Sabahans.
