In a sharing by Dato’ Seri Azmin Ali on his social media account, Selangor MB Datuk Seri Amiruddin Shari was seen attending the state’s first Action Meeting this year chaired by the International Trade and Industry (MITI) Minister on 29 June. In one of the images taken by the media, Azmin Ali and Amiruddin Shari were seen fist-bumping gayly. However, UMNO state chairman, Tan Sri Noh Omar, criticised the meeting as no Perikatan Nasional (PN) representatives were invited to the meeting.
According to him, functionally, the State Action Council is a platform established for both federal and state governments to collaborate in the development of the state, where PN assemblymen and lawmakers should have also been present in the meeting. This query triggered by Noh Omar could also hint that Azmin Ali, besides his duty as a senior MITI minister representing Putrajaya, may have another agenda that excludes PN for Selangor. Could he be working on a comeback in Selangor? Is he plotting with Amiruddin Shari, who defended him for the “semburit video clips” last year, to regain control in the state?
Is Amiruddin Shari his accomplice in ‘thinning’ Pakatan Harapan (PH) fortress in Selangor? Azmin Ali, who is known as PN “Whip Chief” and perpetrator in the Sheraton Move, now seems to be scavenging for opportunities to achieve his ‘goals’. But has he checked with his bosom-buddy Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Hussein first about this?
