Good Governance has nine components - Participation, Rule of Law, Transparency, Responsiveness, Consensus orientation, Equity, Effective and Efficiency, Accountability and Strategic Vision. My friends, look back and see if these qualities were there with Mahathir, Najib or even now by Muhyiddin. Did they include your voice in their decision making? Were the legal frameworks fair and impartial during their rule? Were they transparent? During their rule, did institutions and processes serve all stakeholders? Did they allow differing interests to reach a broad consensus when they ruled? Did all men and women have opportunities to improve or maintain their well-being during their rule? Were they, the private sector and civil society organisations accountable to the public during their rule? Did they have a Strategic Vision?...If you see none of them had these qualities, then why do you want them to be your leaders? Do you want to be a failed country that is poverty stricken and corrupt? Think wisely … the decision is yours…
