Once more Tun Mahathir’s strategy has backfired once more. Unlike his failure to lure Bersatu to join DAP and sidelining Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim during Sheraton Part 1, this time around his Sheraton Part 2 move was to provoke Malays with statements that undermine them and simultaneously uplift DAP to garner support in Pakatan Harapan (PH). Again Tan Sri Muhyiddin out witted Tun with the Prime Minister’s Office limiting the one day Parliament session to mere few hours, ending immediately after His Majesty King delivers His speech. It is believed that the MPs sitting arrangements will be randomized in the name of social distance to avoid any clear block of opposing MPs.
In his video released yesterday, Tun Mahathir expressed disappointed over Tan Sri Muhyiddin’s move and questioned the legitimacy of the “back-door” Perikatan Nasional (PN) government. In short, he is now really upset that he could not get his motion of no confidence against the Prime Minister - debated and voted on 18th May.
It is apparent from the video, that Tun's basis for a no confidence motion against Muhyiddin is solely on the point of - at the time Muhyiddin took office, the supposed "material time" according to Tun, Muhyiddin didn't have the support of the majority of the MPs although Tun concedes that Muhyiddin now has the support of the majority of the MPs.
What rubbish is Tun trying to sell? Why is Tun still clinging unto the 114 statutory declarations supposedly signed by MPs siding him and why is Tun adamant in accusing the Prime Minister as being too afraid to face the truth? Doesn't Tun realize that he would is questioning the power of His Majesty King in appointing Muhyiddin? Is he planing to embarrass The Ruler again whenever his demand is not fulfilled? How many times does he want to tick off the Rulers? And why is he getting all worked up when he is no longer has the support of the PH MPs? If in fact Tun had his claims in order, he should have just sued Muhyiddin.
All these shows that he is making mistakes after mistakes merely to avoid fulfilling his pledge of passing the premiership to Anwar Ibrahim. Malaysians must realise that this old man is not fighting for the them, but only for his family and cronies.
