Although Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin succeeded in shortening the sitting time of the 18 May Parliament and stopping Tun Mahathir's motion of no confidence against him from being heard, he is being rattled by Dato' Seri Najib Razak. As summed up by Dato' Seri Muhkriz Mahathir yesterday, the puppeteer behind Muhyiddin Yassin is Najib Razak.
Najib Razak is not making things easy for Muhyiddin Yassin who is caught into his grips after the latter’s impromptu decision to secure support from UMNO. Muhyiddin Yassin had clearly fall into Najib Razak's trap thinking UMNO is fully controlled by Dato' Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Unknown to Muhyiddin Yassin, Najib Razak has more strength than Zahid Hamidi, as was displayed at Dato' Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman's house 10 days ago where Najib Razak convinced a majority UMNO division leaders to topple the party president in favour of Dato' Seri Mohamad Hasan.
The plot had in fact thicken last week with the MACC releasing Najib Razak's stepson with grave thievery. Due to his nativity in taking up the challenge to become Prime Minister and not to lose face before the people, Muhyiddin Yassin has given most chairman post at GLCs to MPs. Just to make his side of the House to fill up more chairs on Monday to awe the opposition, particularly Tun Mahathir, who is going to rub the pain in his chest even more with such sight. Well that's not the end of it, Muhyiddin Yassin is now squeezed to appoint Najib Razak as the Chairman of 1MDB to continue with his unfinished business at the infamous sovereign fund. Muhyiddin Yassin had to succumb to Najib Razak's demands due to his control of 16 MPs and his threat to walk out the Parliament immediately after His Majesty's address on 18 May.
Little that we all know, Muhyiddin Yassin’s deal with the “Cash is King” kleptocrat, Najib Razak, will open up the path for the latter to continue reaping more money into his own pocket and to make “first lady” Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor a happy woman after 2 years of embarrassment. Najib Razak will also make all cases against him to vanish just like how Tan Sri Gopal Sri Ram did to his stepson's cases. Why is Muhyiddin Yassin doing this when he knows that Malaysians despise Najib Razak and his family so much to the core? Is Muhyiddin Yassin out of his mind? Well, in the first place, his desperation to stay on as Prime Minister can never be underestimated. If he had cared so much for the people and their voices, he should have resigned rather than making deals with a devil like Najib Razak.
Well, Muhyiddin Yassin might be appearing meek and soft to all, but the irony is, he has been fierce and commanding in finding ways for what he wishes for, particularly not letting Tun Mahathir get back the premier seat again. To fortify Tun Mahathir's challenge, Muhyiddin Yassin has been led to desperation, one after another, as there must be numerous ‘barter trades’ that had to be made by these politicians. People would think that this Parliament sitting on 18 May will just be about hearing His Majesty's address, but also a display of Muhyiddin Yassin’s malice. Thus, should Malaysians just be silent and allow more destruction to the country?
