The day has come for Tun Mahathir to feel the taste of his own medicine when he was ousted by the party he established. In a letter issued by Bersatu executive secretary Muhammad Suhaimi Yahya, the sacking of Tun Mahathir, Dato’ Seri Mukhriz Mahathir, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Amiruddin Hamzah and Dr. Maszlee Malik was done according to Clauses 10.2.2 and 10.2.3 of the party’s constitution. Now, how will Tun Mahathir untangle himself from this mess? Where would he and his followers go? These were reiterated by the Party's General Secretary Dato' Seri Hamzah Zainuddin at a Bersatu press conference that was held at PWTC.
This is a game that Tun had mastermind in the past, and now it is being played by his enemies against him. Though Bersatu and Armada alleged that there is dirty conspiracy in the sacking of the former chairman and the other four since Muhammad Suhaimi’s position as executive secretary was non-existent, they need to understand that Tun Mahathir and his followers have not been supporting Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government by sitting in the opposition bench during 18 May Parliament sitting. In retaliation, Tun Mahathir barged into Bersatu office to have a press conference while his dethroned loyalist Datuk Marzuki Yahya unconstitutionally assumed his sacked General Secretary position to sack Muhammad Suhaimi according to Clauses 10 and 16.6 of the Party's constitution. How was this even possible? These are desperate moves, leaving the lawyers from either side namely Haniff Katri and Rosli Dahlan to take the reign of Bersatu into court.
