Who’s firing who, Bersatu??

"Confusing” is the term to describe Bersatu today. First, Tun Mahathir and his four followers were sacked by the Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s camp as ‘challenged’ by the former chairman in a press conference in Bersatu office. And this 94-year-old leader also told the media during that conference that he is bringing the plan to sack Muhyiddin Yassin as party president to the supreme council meeting. But wait! How can a sacked chairman hold a supreme council meeting when he no longer has the authority to do so? Even the ROS acknowledged his resignation and the party’s constitution Clause 10.2.2 and 10.2.3 proved his disloyalty to Bersatu for siding the opposition. What about the leaked audios alleged to be his and then Muhyiddin Yassin’s that were recorded in their own meetings? Pity the party members as they are torn between two power-craved leaders. Even worse, pity the people in this country for being fooled and played out by these two!

What could be worse? Malaysians have gotten even more disgusted now by the political drama of the two Bersatu founders. This conflict of interest seems to be never-ending unless one of them kiss and make up. Nevertheless, can they really do so? Why can’t they keep making things easier for Malaysians who are now still unsure of their fate once the MCO is over? Why can’t these leaders seriously work on exit plans for every sector in this country to survive the pandemic Covid-19 and revive the people’s livelihood while adapting to the new norms due to the virus? Sectors like education and industry are still in the dark over what is best to be implemented the soonest. Why are these leaders only fighting over personal authority and interests? This, must stop. Maybe it is time for the people to fire these leaders, too.
