UMNO president Dato’ Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi hosted a ‘meeting’ at his residence on the evening of 2 June 2020 with Dato’ Seri Najib Razak and his ‘entourage’ as proudly shown on the former’s social media account with the claim that they are ready for GE15. Also present was Najib Razak’s brother, Datuk Mohamed Nazim Razak, who is said to be the one responsible for ‘delivering’ his elder brother’s wishes. The smiles on their faces during at the dinner and talks appears freakishly annoying and this also shows that they have violated the CMCO for holding social gatherings! How ignorant!
Now, what could their discussion be about? Was this meeting meant to make amends for the previous plan made by Najib Razak to oust Zahid Hamidi as party president as discussed at Dato’ Sri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman’s house a month ago? That meeting, which was not attended by Zahid Hamidi and his supporters, was planned to replace him with Dato’ Seri Muhamad Hasan as acting president. What could have happened to that plan? Zahid Hamidi should be well aware that UMNO too has camps and any of them would want to relinquish him at any time. Thus, why is he showing strong solidarity with Najib Razak now? Is it just a pretence?
These images shared by Zahid Hamidi clearly show his lack of concern and care for the people as he, like his daughter Dato’ Nurul Hidayah, violated the MCO. The presence of Najib Razak and the entourage and the confession about having to discuss politics by having guests at his house during MCO, without wearing face masks and observing social distancing, is a clear display of ignorance and irresponsibility, while the common laypeople have to stay at their homes as instructed by Minister of Defence, Dato’ Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and the Health Director General, Datuk Seri Dr. Nor Hisham Abdullah to curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Any violations by the people can result in fines and jail terms. How irresponsible have these politicians been by ignoring the instructions! Are they above the law?
Malaysians must ask themselves these questions: Are these the leaders that the people can trust their future with? Why are they still honing on the general elections at a time this country and the people are in bad shape and uncertain of what is installed for them in future? Worse, the country is speculated to experience serious economic issues by September this year as the country has been losing a lot of money. What will happen to the people who have been or will be laid off as employers ran out of resources? Remember, Malaysian voters had decided to oust “Cash is King” Najib Razak in 2018 because they despise him and his kleptocratic lifestyle. Are they going to take him back again and suffer?
Will Muhyiddin Yassin allow Najib Razak to rule and rob the country again? Is he willing to be cursed again the way he was by Johorians when he changed the weekend from Friday/Saturday to Saturday/Sunday decades ago until a cross was put on top of his father’s grave? Muhyiddin Yassin should reconsider his ties with these kleptocrats before it is too late. Or…could he just be one of them??
